About

Since 2015, the Order of Malta’s St. John Committee has raised critical funds for the Order’s humanitarian efforts around the world and right here in New York City. The Committee is a unique fundraising effort which is entirely volunteer-run, and our work supports the Order's mission to uphold human dignity and care for people in need.

The Committee’s first fundraiser, the White Cross Ball of New York City, was founded under the leadership of Dr. Michael Espiritu, KM; Niccolo Falez, KM; and William Murray, Viscount Stormont. The Ball supports Malteser International, Holy Family Hospital of Bethlehem Foundation, and Malta Camp USA, and has in the past supported the Order of Malta International Summer Camp for Disabled Youth. The Committee further supports the Order’s hands-on volunteer work in New York City through Spring Knights.
